User Research, Persona Development, Information Architecture, & User Journeys
User Research, Persona Development, User Journey Planning Vivial/mGage
As a senior UX designer at Blink Worldwide, I worked on a complete website rebuilt for Vivial and mGage (telecommunications/messaging companies). conducted extensive user research on their existing customers to develop personas for key demographics, and also developed an initial proposal for the sites' information architectures. Combining these, I mapped out suggested user journeys from landing page to conversion.
While most of this work was preliminary, it provided a basis user testing and a framework to ensure development was focused the client's needs.
Initial Persona Development
When researching their customer base, the first distinction was commercial vs. consumer. Based on interviews with the client, I developed 3 personas in each of those categories to represent key customer segements and the sorts of problems those customers have that our client amied to solve.
Vivial Sitemaps & User Journeys with Updated Personas
Vivial and mGage, while sister companies, served different products to different markets. They shared a lot of the same content development, but as we progressed through the project, it became necessary to differentiate. I redefined the personas based on what we'd learned in the process, and designed the sitemaps and user paths based on the assumptions we'd made.
These were the Vivial personas and sitemaps, with intended user journeys highlighted for each persona.
